Medical Doctors
Have you ever wondered what caused your symptoms?
Have you ever wished your doctor:
Our medical doctors listen. They know that disease
is nature's effort to correct conditions that resulted from a
violation of the
8 Natural Health Laws. Wouldn’t it make sense
to find out what natural health laws are being violated and
then obey those natural health laws, in order for health to
take the place of disease?
Initial Consultation
When you arrive
at BHHEC you will have an initial one hour consultation with
one of the medical doctors, where he will refer to your
Guest History
Form and ask you many questions; gathering
information about you, your concerns, your symptoms and your
health goals. The aim of the initial consultation is for the
doctor to gather baseline information about your health so
that he can identify the cause of the symptoms you are
experiencing and design a treatment plan to manage these
symptoms while dealing with the cause. The doctors focus on
more than ‘just’ preventative care. They offer therapies that
are not drug dependant and will make you well.
Then with the help of a nurse there will be a physical exam
where your vital statistics will be measured and recorded.
Vital statistics include; blood pressure, heart rate and
irregularities, height, weight, BMI, circumferences,
respiration rate and temperature. Your blood will be drawn for
the standard panel of tests: complete blood count,
comprehensive chemical panel (Na, K, Ca, Cl), BUN - blood urea
nitrogen, lipid panel, kidney filtration rate, B12, vitamin D,
TSH, HS-CRP. For an additional charge men can have their PSA checked if they
request it. While all
these tests are standard for guests they will also be
tailored to the individual guest’s symptoms and concerns. One
guest was quoted as saying “it was the most thorough exam I
have ever had with my clothes on.”
Follow Up Consultation
After your initial
consultation you will have two 30-minute consultations a
week where the doctor follows up on your progress, checks your
symptoms, your feeling of health and reduces your medication
as necessary. During both these and the initial consultations
you can ask all the questions you want and expect reasonable
answers. Extra appointments may be arranged with your
doctor during your stay, at no extra charge.
How-To Benefit Most
To get the
most out of your time with the doctors and from the
health program
make sure you do the following:
-
Fill out the
Guest History Form and mail it
back to BHHEC before you come.
-
Bring all your medications with you; the
doctor will need to know which medications you are on and how much
you are taking and what brands they are. The healthy lifestyle
taught at BHHEC will result in your body having less need for
your medications and the doctors want to ensure these are
reduced, and even eliminated in some cases, as safely as
possible.
-
Bring all the vitamins, minerals and any
other supplements you are taking.
-
Bring any durable medical devices you use,
such as: C-pap machines, walkers and walking chairs or wheel
chairs, glucometers and testing strips, etc.
-
Bring all previous lab test results, the
more the better, as they give the doctors a history of your
health.
-
Bring the film, CD or DVD of any imaging
tests you have had – bone scans, PET scans, x-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultra sounds, and any other scans. (If you don’t have the
actual images on film, CD or DVD, then bring the reports, but
the image is best.)
Research
At BHHEC we
are conducting a research project investigating the long term
effects of lifestyle and lifestyle change. Our aim is to show
that people who change their lifestyle and maintain the change
long term experience major reversals in the symptoms and that
they become disease free with their bodies returning to a
position of optimum health.
You will be asked
if you are interested in being a participant in this research
project. What this means is that at regular intervals you will
receive questionnaires asking about your lifestyle and health.
This information is used to track your progress and the impact
that a continued healthy lifestyle change is having on your condition.
