1. The body uses average of 2,500 gal. of water a day
2. Kidneys filter over 400 gal. of blood a day
3. Only 5.5 to 6 glasses of water voided in urine

2. Breathing about 1 ½ cups

- Basic principles of drinking water
1. Start the day with 2 glasses of warm water
2. Water should not be taken with a meal, it slows the digestion process
3. Drink about 30 min. before a meal and 60 to 120 min. after a meal
4. Tepid water is best upon rising from bed because it is an excellent laxative. Cold water is absorbed the fastest. (Ice water is never necessary)
5. Develop a habit of drinking water regularly
6. Thirst is an indicator that you need water but always drink more than you’re
thirsty for
7. The best indicator that you’re getting enough water is a clear to light yellow colored urine
8. Above all remember that nothing replaces good pure water
9. Drink more water than you need instead of less. It is almost impossible to drink too much water because the body is efficient at getting rid of excess
