Here are three suggestions:
1. copy from this website and print off for your customers
2. order copies or download and make your own copies of Dr. Thrash's counseling sheets. http://www.ucheepines.org/
3. clarkhealthed@aol.com is the email address of Dr. John Clark of Northern Lights Health Education who produces a great DVD on many topics including diabetes. These DVDs are freely copyable and would make great resources for your customers.

Blessings,

Ray Foster, M.D.

Hi, Charlie,
Thank you for your post this morning. I'm glad we could get you on the forum. This way you can receive suggestions and help from more than just one person. I talked with our Food Service Director this morning about your wanting some recipes that would be good for diabetics. I'm sure you will hear from her right away.
Stay in touch if you need more help, Charlie.
God bless your ministry,
Cheryl Reth
Assistant to the Director

Hi Charlie,

Here is a list of things I give our diabetics.

The best citrus is gragefruit.
Don't eat southern fruits like grapes, raisins, mango, melons, pineapple, banana. They are sweeter than you want.
Northern fruits are the best fruits like berries.
Granny Smith apple is the best apple.
Fruits with pits are OK like apricot, peach, plum.
Don't have more than 2 servings of fruit a day.

We do not recommend sugar, juices, sodas, etc.
No eating between meals.
Exercise is important also.

As for recipes, I do not use special recipes for my diabetics. The more simple the food is the better it is for you. The more whole the better. The more refined it is the worse it is for any one.

I hope this has been helpful.

Elizabeth, Food Service Director
