I am trying to lose weight. I am a 48 year old female 5'6" and weigh 173. I am pretty active as I train with a personal trainer 4 days a week and do cardio 5-6 days a week. I have started keeping a food journal and now know why I wasn't losing!! Now I must tell you I am on an antidepressant (I really need it). I want to lose the weight slowly (1-2 pounds per week). I have cut my calorie intake to about 1650 calories per day. I am hungry. Really hungry. Will this go away? I drink about 10 glasses of water per day. I am eating fiber and protein. I am doing what I need to do but the hunger is driving me crazy. Will my stomach shrink to adapt to the new calorie intake? Or what do I need to do to stop my hunger? HELP

Hello Sandimae,
What we recommend here is that you eat 2 meals a day with lots of whole grains, not refined foods and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruits at breakfast and vegetabes at dinner is what we do. If you are getting adequate fiber you will not be hungry. We eat dried beans of some kind for breakfast which helps us from getting hungry during the day. We want our guests to be full but not stuffed at the end of a meal. If you have more questions, keep asking!
Will your stomach shrink? Probably but that is not really a fun way to go. Our guests are amazed they can lose weight and never be starving.
