Hi my name is Karen-Lee and I live in Ontario Canada. I am married with 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I live in a very pretty area of Ontario called Eugenia Lake, known for the beautiful waterfalls we have here and for the old time Gold Rush days. Happy to be part of this forum and be able to talk to you all.

Welcome Karen! Thanks for joining our site and we look forward to your participation in the forum. It sounds like Eugenia Lake has something in common with the Black Hills. Lots of gold mining history. Be sure to let us know if you have any particular questions or subjects you would like to discuss.

Hi Karen, this is Sue in Maine. I'm below the part of Canada where Quebeque is located or at least near there. Lewiston is about 6 hours south of the Canadian boarder. We have a lot of Canadian French people in this area. My husband has some in his family tree. Mine is more European French on my mom's side, but it's still French. Is it all of Canada that speaks French or is it just certain parts?
