My name is Sue Gallant. I live in Lewiston, Maine. I'm 40, married almost 9 years, have 2 girls and one step-son. My husband and i are both visually impaired due to different birth defects and I'm curious to find out what can be done to naturally reverse visual scars on the retinas from toxoplasmosis for myself and I think with my husband it's either retina damage or something else.I'll have to ask him more details later.
But that isn't the only reason I'm wanting to be a part of this group. I have been studying different aspects of the health message for about 16 years now and am always ready to learn more and maybe share what I've learned with others if they are interested. I do a volunteer radio program at Bates College. It isn't a Christian school, but they have allowed me to do a Christian program for 8 years now where I play sermons every Wednsday from Amazing Facts as well as talk about various health topics every week, play children's stories, read Bible passages, etc. I take the health messgae very seriously so I'm really looking forward to connecting with other people here.
Please also pray for a friend of mine. Her name is Dawn Stevens. We've known each other since grade school. When i was in the second grade she was in the 6th. That now makes me 40 and her 44. We talked on the phone over a month ago and she said she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has been given up to 5 years to live. She said she's ready to just give it up, which is so unlike Dawn. She has always been full of so much enthusiasm and a real go getter, always there to encourage other people. Now she's needing the encouraging but doesn't want to even try. I talked with our friend, Sandy, just yesturday and according to her, Dawn has stopped going to kidney dialysis and everything, which I wasn't even aware she was having kidney problems. I knew she was diabetic but I didn't know about the other issues. I did mention to her about your facility but she has had the medical field drilled into her since she was little so she just feels if they can't do anything then she's done. I left a messgae on her answering machine about an hour ago with the phone numnbers to Black Hills, but I can't make her call or go down there. I did pass along the information though, so the next step is to pray for her STRONGLY. If everyone who reads this can please keep Dawn in their prayers I would so much appreciate it. I know everyone is going to die sooner or later from something because of sin in this world, but I don't think it's Biblical for someone to die unnecesarily when something can be done to prevent it. If she actually calls out there then I'll know for sure the prayer was answered, even is she just calls for information. It's hard knowing the health messgae and having loved ones around you who don't see its significance.
p.S. What is BBCode?

Hello Sue,
first of all, thanks for joining the forum and sharing you insights. There are none here who would back away from learning other things regarding the health message. I'm sure that there is much more to learn. I myself am a student in the massage school here at BHHEC and I am learning some of the healing modalities that are taught here. It is wonderful to know that healing can come in so many ways.
I am praying for your friend Dawn, and I understand the mentality of it the medical field says it is hopeless then there is nothing more you can do. However there are so many things that you can do even if the disease is permanent and you cannot recover from it, you can make it easier to bear using the natural remedies that God has provided for us. I will pray that Dawn makes the choice to contact us to see what we can do for her.
Thank you for joining our forum, I hope it will be a blessing and I also pray that God will shine through the people on this forum so we can reach others and bring them closer to Christ. For that is our #1 goal. Jesus is coming very soon and we need to be ready for him.
In regards to your final question about BBCode, I'm not entirely sure what it is so I will let someone else answer that one, but most likely it has to do with HTML coding in the text. If that helps any.
God bless and may you find peace in the midst of the storm.
Ray

Hello Sue, I'm sorry I couldn't help you with the question regarding the eyes, I'll have to refer that one to our resident Dr. Ray Foster.

Welcome Sue!
Thanks for sharing with us and we will certainly pray for your friend. We'll see if we can get one of the busy doctors on here to respond to the medical questions. I hope you clicked on the "Watch Thread" button so you will receive an email when someone responds to your post. Come back often. Also, when you have specific health questions, you may want to post them in the various forums for different health issues as those are "watched" by the doctors and other professional staff.
BB code is a way to format what you type in the forum. BB stands for bulletin board. When you are writing your post and want to make some text bold or other formatting such as text size, you can use BB code to do that if you know how. I usually don't bother.
Make it a great day,
Jack
