Massage therapy offers many benefits (physical, mental, emotional) for clients. As a Christian consumer I would prefer a massage therapist that isn't into "energy work", "Reiki" and other things that clash with my personal belief system. As a Christian, when I attended massage school I encountered quite a challenge. My instructors were all into energy work, pagan meditations, massaging the aura, and things like that--things that did not jive with my religious beliefs. If a Christian student is not well-grounded in their faith, I believe one's faith could actually be damaged in going through regular massage school, as participation in the pagan stuff was mandatory for graduation! That is why I now teach at BHHEC's massage therapy school.

These comments are so true. I know a couple of Christians who had the same kind of issues with the massage therapy schools in California. It truly is a challenge to a Christian (of any age) to spend weeks or months in this kind of environment. I am thankful that BHHEC has a Massage School that uplifts Christian values and beliefs. We are grateful to have Carrie teaching in the school.
