Dr. Melvin Beltz first became interested in health during his pre-teen years. Since he was frail young child and had been examined by many physicians, his thoughts turned to a desire to become a doctor when he grew up, to help others with similar problems.
His quest for knowledge in health continued through high school, college, and on to Loma Linda Medical School, where he realized his childhood dream of becoming a physician. Almost at the end of his residency, he moved to a hospital in Alaska to gain surgical skills at a faster rate and flew his airplane at the request of the Alaska Territorial Health Society.
Because of his conscientious work, the Society awarded him a scholarship, which Dr. Beltz used to get further training at the New York Memorial Hospital for Cancer, where he did extensive research on cancer. Dr. Beltz concluded that complications of lifestyle habits were the underlying cause of many of the serious degenerative diseases throughout the world.
Dr. Beltz has traveled extensively around the world, giving health seminars. Australia, Europe, Africa and Latin America are some of the places in which Dr. Beltz has served as a surgeon and health educator.
